Material Flow Process

Output
  • Inventory control computer tracks the stock levels for each part in the carousel.
  • Computer directs the mini load or unit load to replenish any SKU that falls below a predetermined number.
  • The mini load or unit load automatically retrieves the appropriate tote or pallet and delivers it to one of two output stations.
  • Parts stored in totes are automatically loaded onto the AGV for delivery to the carousels.
  • Workers pick items stored on pallets and load them into a tote for pick up by the AGV; the picked-from pallet is returned to the unit load.
  • The AGV transports the parts to the replenishment staging area, where the totes are automatically offloaded for restocking the carousels.
